Wreaths Across America

 

 

About a dozen Dove Mountain Rotary Club members were among the hundreds of volunteers who placed wreaths on the gravesites of military veterans at the Veterans Cemetery in Marana in December. This is the 3rd year that the club has participated. The club also donated 10 wreaths for the event.

 

Wreaths Across America is committed to teaching all generations about the value of their freedoms, and the importance of honoring those who sacrificed so much to protect those freedoms. When a volunteer places a wreath on a veteran's grave on National Wreaths Across America Day, they are encouraged to speak that veteran's name aloud, thank them for their service and sacrifice, and reflect on that person and their life.
